‘Love Island USA’ Season 7 Premiere Suffers Delay On Peacock & Viewers Share Their Outrage

Recently, the new season of love island, season 7, premiered. It did not receive a warm welcome as it was late to premiere! Peacock, the streaming site that love island uploads its episodes too, had been saying they would release their episodes at 9pm ET and 6pm ET, but the episode was not available by then. When the episode was not made available at that time, peacock posted on social media about a delay. “WE GOT A TEXT! Tonight’s episode will be slightly delayed. But it is worth the wait. Stay tuned!” Is the tweet peacock sent out to twitter. "we got a text" is a common saying in the love island show. Canadian users reported that the love island season 7 episode did premiere on time on CTV, which indicates issues on peacocks side. Expectations for love island season 7 is high due to the rage behind season 6. Viewers were finally invested in the format due to the chemistry and drama in season 6. Peacock understood this and greenlighted and spinoff of season 6 called "beyond the villa" Ariana Madix, host of 'Love Island USA'

I enjoy love island a lot! Kiran and I watched love island season 6 this year and it was amazing, we were addicted! We had actually both been anticipating the drop of the first episode of season 7, and when it didn't come we were so disappointed, it ended up coming out later, but we were out at that point and had to watch it later in the night. There are some speculations around the delay, some saying it's due to some of the racist cast members, and how they had wanted to send out an apology for them. I believe this is untrue as they have had many problematic cast members and have never done anything to help that. I am very excited for the spinoff though! when watching the new season I kept reminiscing on the old one, and it made me more excited for the upcoming spinoff of season 6 where they follow the cast members around their life. In conclusion, I think the delay may just be a technical problem, and I am very excited for the upcoming spinoff of season 6, as well as the new season!
